60 Seconds with Chloe Rosbotham
Tell us about your role and your organisation.
I am both a published author and a hair and beauty salon owner. I recently published a booked for women in regards to women's empowerment, self confidence and living your best life through positive mindset. I also own a hair and beauty salon, this is my bread and butter and I absolutely love it. I would like to transition into more book writing and life coaching.

Give us a brief overview of your career journey so far.
I have worked in many places; telecommunications, retail, home care, catering... I have BA Honours Degree in Sociology. When I tried to make a career after finishing my degree, there were no jobs available. During my maternity leave with my son, from my homecare job, I decided to become a makeup artist. Since then I have opened a successful salon and just wrote and published a book about positive mind set and empowering women.

What advice do you have for women in your sector/industry/type of role?
I have many mantra and affirmations I use daily; Always be gentle with yourself. The win is coming, don't let the 'when' worry you. Believe you deserve it and the universe will serve it. When nothing is happening, everything is happening - Trust the process.

Are there any exciting plans in the year ahead in your organisation that you can share with us?
I plan on my book to have huge success, helping a massive amount of women and becoming a best seller author!

Who has been your biggest career inspiration and why?
Madame C.J. Walker.
Madam C.J. Walker was an African American entrepreneur who became one of the wealthiest self-made women in America in the early 1900's.
Facing poverty and discrimination, she developed a line of hair care products specifically for African American women. Through her innovative marketing strategies and business acumen, she achieved remarkable success, empowering other African Americans through job opportunities and financial independence. Walker's story symbolizes resilience, entrepreneurship, and the pursuit of equality in the face of adversity. She has really inspired me to be innovative and keep going through adversities. Madam C.J. Walkers adversities were different than my own, but her resilience and subsequent success has driven me to the success I have today. I have a brain tumour diagnosis, epilepsy and brain surgery, whilst have 2 children. These adversities have driven me to be better.
