This free 7 week programme is for women who are not currently in employment - supporting you on how to make money by turning your creative ideas into a small business.

If you're interested in starting your own venture or to earn income from your hobbies, this programme will be perfect for you. Through group and individual learning, experienced business owners will take you through mini 'Boss for a day' workshops on every aspect of developing a business idea:

Make It is a special programme offered by Women in Business and Women’s Tec.

In this free 12 week programme, you will learn how to create wooden craft pieces in the Women’s Tec workshop. Skilled instructors will teach you various woodworking techniques, enabling you to craft handmade items.

But that's not all—you will also gain essential business skills, such as how to price, market and sell your products. 

By the end of the 12 weeks, you'll know how to turn your crafts into a source of income. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to sell your creations at a Christmas market and other events, giving you real-life experience in selling your products!

This programme is perfect for anyone who wants to combine creativity with the skills needed to start a business. Places are limited, so sign up soon to secure your spot.

Who are these programmes for?
1. This programme aims to support women that are currently not in employment or training/ education.
It is important to note that people may move between different employment circumstances throughout life - everyone's story is unique to them.
You could be:
 
  • On a career break
  • Carrying out a valuable caring role
  • Have a Long term illness or disabilities
  • Lacking in confidence due to life circumstances or education
2. This programme is targeted, but not limited, towards women who live in the greater Belfast area.

3. Essential criteria includes:
 
  • You must be over 18 years of age
  • You must be a resident of Northern Ireland
  • You must not currently be in employment
