TWN is one of the largest networks in Northern Ireland with a membership that encompasses a wide variety of groups, individuals and organisations from the public, private and voluntary/community sectors. TWN's activities seek to encourage women to look at opportunities for advancement in a variety of ways.
Here at TWN we operate open door policies were equality and professionalism is paramount to our new and existing members. ‘We believe that providing women with independence of education and training, this could prove to be a great asset to the Northern Ireland economy’.
The staff and members of TWN are a key factor to the successful production of the organisation and thus creating more relaxed and innovative approaches to learning such as the peace by piece program and members evenings (held at the Ramada Hotel, Belfast). Keeping our members and indeed the community up to date with potential opportunities, training and events is indicated within our newsletters. We also believe that social media is now the way forward to appeal to our younger generation of women and so our face book page provides wide ranges of support and links to follow. facebook@twnonline.com
Training is essential for the progression of any business and so one of the new and exciting offers that TWN are proud to be a part of is the institute of leadership and management (ilm) registered centre for many years and take great pride in the high quality training provided by their tutors who are all registered with ilm. The courses range from the ilm endorsed award ‘train the trainer’ to the high level ilm level 7 certificates in executive management leading to the diploma.
Places are currently available on our ilm level 6 and 7 qualifications which are aiming to run at the end of February. We are, at present taking names for the ilm level 3 award in first line management and the ilm level 5 award in management were both of which will run after Easter. New members are welcome to register their interest in the ilm management courses by visiting the company’s website. www.twnonline.com
Our strategic goals for 2012 will be a possible expansion of TWN into new sectors and enhance awareness of our membership base in order to meet the satisfactory needs and requirements of the women in Northern Ireland.
