iCare at Christmas 2024 Impact Statement

This Christmas, iCare at Christmas, which is funded by Tarasis Enterprises, made a powerful and transformative impact, bringing warmth, comfort, and joy to vulnerable individuals and families across our communities. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering generosity of our supporters, partners, and donors. Together, we made the festive season brighter for individuals and families across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Highlights of the campaign impact:

  • Supported Women’s Aid across Northern Ireland with gifts and vouchers, helping them rebuild their lives after facing domestic abuse.

  • Distributed toys to Armagh Outreach Centre

  • Delivered Christmas magic to hundreds of families, providing gifts and essential supplies to help children feel the joy of the season.

  • Partnered with Loughshore Care Partnership and our Healthcare division as well as individuals identified in our local community to deliver more than 200 to elderly individuals, ensuring they felt valued and remembered.

  • Brought joy and essentials to young people, including those supported by MACS and our support services division.

  • Distributed food hampers in the local Armagh area to families in need via Southern Trust

  • Delivered supermarket vouchers to schools, giving families the ability to buy what they needed most during the holidays.

  • Partnered with Image to donate €10,000 to Aoibheans, Domestic Abuse Support for Women and Children.

Community Generosity at Work
This year’s campaign was bolstered by exceptional generosity:

  • Individuals and businesses across the community donated showing the power of local kindness.

  • Our incredible partners, SDG and Bunzl, held gift drives among their staff, generating a wave of support for those in need.

    Who We Helped This Year
We focused our efforts on those most vulnerable during the holiday season:

  • Homeless women and children seeking refuge from crisis situations.

  • Teenagers in care, many facing loneliness and uncertainty.

  • Elderly individuals with no next of kin, often at risk of neglect and isolation.

  • Families struggling financially, ensuring their children experienced the magic of Christmas.

A season of hope and community
Through this collective effort, more than 1000 lives were touched by the kindness and generosity of our community. Your support has brought light to those in the darkest times and reminded them that they are not forgotten.

Thank you for making this incredible impact possible. Together, we can continue to transform lives and create lasting change for those who need it most.
