The Human Brain Processes Images 60,000 Times Faster Than Text!
The secret behind any successful piece of marketing material is the imagery.

Fun fact: It takes 13 milliseconds for the human brain to process an image. Versus 6 seconds for a sentence of text. Branding that speaks directly to our eyes has a massive impact on what we can consume. So when it comes to grabbing the attention of your audience, adding an image is the best way to connect with them.

And Canva is here to help you do this.

This course will show you the basics so that you can get started quickly with Canva, an easy-to-use graphic design tool. We’ll progress right up to more complicated techniques that will really make your designs pop!

At the workshop we'll cover:

Introduction to Canva: Overview of Canva's interface and basic features.
Creating a Design from Scratch: Step-by-step guide on starting a new project
Templates and Customization: Using and customizing templates for various purposes
Branding Tools: Utilizing brand kits, color palettes, and fonts
Graphic Elements: Incorporating icons, shapes, and illustrations
Photo Editing: Basic photo manipulation and enhancements
Using Canva for Video: Creating and editing video content within Canva.
Canva Teams: Collaboration features for teams, sharing designs, and team folders
Exporting and Sharing Designs: Different formats and sharing options.
Canva App Library: for QR Codes, GIFs and more
Practical Exercises: Hands-on activities to apply learned skills.
Q&A Session: Addressing specific questions and troubleshooting issues
No graphic design experience is needed. In the workshop, you'll discover everything you need to get the most out of Canva.

What to bring
Bring your fully charged laptop and mobile phone and be prepared to get hands-on with Canva. Also bring 3 photos, downloaded to your laptop which you can use in your designs. They can be of anything.
