Gallery 545 is delighted to host a special exhibition at the modernist La Roche House in Belfast. An exciting diverse selection of artworks by exceptional artists is on display at this stunning venue.

Contemporary works have found the perfect setting in this mid-century modern home - bold abstracts by Ronan Bowes, vibrant abstract paintings by Latisha Reihill, distinctive ceramic figures by Elham Hemmat, striking sculptures by Eamonn Higgins, exquisite textile pieces by Patricia Kelly, strong images by Karl Hagan and thought-provoking works on paper by Sharon Kelly.

The exhibition has been curated by Francesca Biondi, Gallery 545 Director. Original artworks have been brought together to celebrate the talent of these accomplished artists. Careful consideration was given to the artworks’ qualities to create a harmonious visual journey allowing them to be appreciated. Attention was also given to the function of the house’s spaces, a principle at the basis of modernist architecture, and also guiding choices about interiors, with energetic and colourful pieces for working and entertaining spaces, and pieces with a delicate, calm or controlled quality for more relaxing ones.

‘Art at the Modernist House’ offers visitors the unique art experience of discovering artists and artworks in this beautiful and welcoming venue, and it hopes to inspire art lovers to create collections for their homes.
