We are globally committed to a comprehensive training program to help teachers and parents educate children on how to stay safe online.
Current State Globally
With cybercrimes continuing to be a growing concern worldwide, Allstate puts forth our best effort to combat cyber threats and keep our customers' information secure.
In addition to protecting our customers, we have an interest in protecting our communities. When it comes to cybercrime, one of the most vulnerable groups are our children.
Getting Involved
Recognising children are exposed to the dangers of the internet, we decided to GET INVOLVED! A group of passionate members of Allstate Northern Ireland's cybersecurity team were determined to make a difference by answering the call to action - 'How do we protect children from dangers on the internet?'. They devotedly came up with an answer by developing a comprehensive and interactive training program 'Allstate Cyber Safety for Kids' to help teachers and parents educate children on how to stay safe online.
Debuting in March 2018, our cybersecurity experts brought their suite of interactive classroom material to Blackmountain Primary School in Belfast. By the end of 2019, we project the course will have been delivered to over 5,000 students in schools across the world.
We are ecstatic to report based on post-session surveys the program is highly successful. The program was rated a 4.85 out of 5 with 100% of respondents saying that the pupils have learned something valuable about internet safety. All respondents said they are highly likely to recommend Cyber Safety to other schools.
