On Friday 16 June 2017, 100 people in Northern Ireland were honoured by the Queen in her Birthday Honours List, including Alyson Hogg, the founder and CEO of the beauty industry’s leading non-toxic, luxury tanning brand, Vita Liberata, who became a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
The award recognises and celebrates Alyson’s huge contribution to economic development in Northern Ireland, successfully driving export for a local business and being a leading local employer. Additionally, the award acknowledges her contributions to the Northern Ireland Peace process in 1998 and strong, positive collaboration with The Prince’s Trust, as its first female patron in Northern Ireland.
Alyson says, “I am humbled and honoured to be appointed a member of the order. The beauty industry has never been a more engaging arena to work in and I am proud of the advances we at Vita Liberata have made in supporting clean tanning across the globe through the use of advanced organics. It’s a privilege to have the brand’s commitment to innovation, its customers and its employees recognised in this way.”
The MBE is the latest accolade to be awarded to Alyson, recognising her work as one of the beauty industry’s leading and most visionary female entrepreneurs, and her professional and philanthropic efforts to support young people and women in business. Consecutively in both 2014 and 2015, Alyson was also awarded a Queen’s Award, one of the UK’s highest accolades for international business success.
Johnny Choda, Chief Financial Officer at Vita Liberata comments, "We’re so pleased that our CEO and Founder, Alyson Hogg, has been awarded an MBE by the Queen for Services to Economic Development in Northern Ireland. The Queen's Birthday Honours List is a celebration of the country's most distinguished and highest achievers, and we’re thrilled that Alyson has been recognised for her positive contributions. Here at Vita Liberata we witness her continued dedication and commitment to the brand and her employees, but it's wonderful to have her accomplishments acknowledged on such a grand and wide scale."
The Vita Liberata brand continues to drive forward with its product innovation to ensure it holds its status as the leading, non-toxic tanning brand.
