For many years I was struggling with the fact that I was diagnosed with PCOS, Polycystic ovary syndrome. I had nowhere to go for help, just the burden alone is one of the main drivers behind the reason I want to help support others out there who might not know who to turn to. I want to build my platform, Oh-Vary, as a safe place and provide a service that we all need, with self-care around the time of our periods and the convenience of this automatically being delivered to your front door.

My name is Amanda, I’m 28 and from a small village in Co. Tyrone. After many years in the manufacturing industry as an estimator, I took the plunge a few months ago to create a better work life balance and left my full-time job.

I had been toying with a business idea for over a year and lockdown was a huge push to make this a full-time entrepreneurial move. The business idea has been a personal ambition of my own over the years as I studied Business Management at Open University - I would always dream of being my own boss and now I am!

A little about Oh-Vary is that it’s a primarily Period Subscription box, with the ambition of creating a box for First Time Period, Menopause and Pregnant Women - breaking the mould around the period taboo!

We also create content on our socials that we think would benefit people with many concerns and issues that they have around their Ovaries.
