We'll be joined by Women in Business member, Shorlagh McConville, Business Development Manager, Mivan and shareholder of the Rathbane Group. Shorlagh will focus on the topic of Young Women in Leadership and how to Lead with Motivational Intelligence. She will share insights from her early career, highlighting instances where she seized leadership opportunities at junior levels, which propelled her development within the organisation. Shorlagh aims to equip young women in business with the practical tools to excel in their careers. She will provide actional tips on enhancing self-motivation, self-belief, decision-making, and leadership skills.
Together with the Women in Business Young Women's Network, Shorlagh looks forward to inspiring more young female leaders to think bigger, achieve more, and excel in both business and life.

Shorlagh is a shareholder of the Rathbane Group, the parent company of Mivan. The Rathbane Group is a second-generation, family-owned and managed business rooted in Northern Ireland with projects worldwide. The Rathbane Group comprises Mivan, MJM Marine, Topglass, and Rathbane Holdings. Growing up in the family business has equipped Shorlagh with a deep understanding of both the operational intricacies of running a business and the importance of building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and employees. This unique background has enabled her to excel in her current role as Business Development Manager at Mivan, where she drives business growth and oversees business development and marketing. In addition to her primary responsibilities, Shorlagh leads various group-wide marketing projects within the Rathbane Group and serves as the chairperson for Mivan’s health, wellbeing, social, and charitable programme leading a hybrid team of 12 across HQ & London Sites. In the early years of her career, Shorlagh worked within various departments including Marketing and Communications, Business Systems, HR, and Accounts and since then she has earned her Chartered Marketer status, completed a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing and an Executive Diploma in Leadership and Management.
