Mother-of-seven daughters and one son, Jean McGrogan was inspired to start the Hygiene Bank in Northern Ireland after seeing an Instagram post by the Hygiene Bank in England about a young girl who was unable to attend school throughout the duration of her menstrual cycle due to period poverty. Jean is now a Co-Ordinator for The Hygiene Bank NI. With nearly 6 years in the process with the aim of ending hygiene poverty in our community. Without Waste

Katie Elliott is the owner of Without Waste, a zero-waste refill store located on Holywood High Street and the founder of Without Waste Corporate, a corporate sustainability advisory service. With a diploma in Environmental Sciences from The Open University, where she graduated in 2021, and an OCN in Business Development from Belfast MET, Katie combines academic expertise with hands-on experience in the sustainability field. Throughout her studies, she balanced work and volunteering with environmental organizations such as Surfers Against Sewage and the RSPB, where she further developed her passion for conservation. As an advanced scuba diver, Katie is deeply committed to protecting our oceans and marine ecosystems. She has led numerous beach clean-up initiatives in collaboration with organisations like Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful and Live Here Love Here. With a strong dedication to sustainable living, Katie is always eager to share her knowledge, offering advice, recommendations, and training to help individuals and businesses adopt eco-conscious practices and create meaningful change.

Anne-Marie Wallace is an award-winning journalist and presenter on BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Sounds. Her podcast Alright, pet?, With vet Rob Adams, won Best Factual podcast at the Irish Podcast Awards in November. She can regularly be found on air on BBC Radio Ulster hosting a range of music and speech shows. She is a mum of 3 and dog mum to greyhound Snowy and Jack Russell Tilly and loves horse riding in her spare time. She is a huge animal lover and has been known to take many a stray off the street!
